I’ve just got a Hype 3d with a Rossi 53 engine. Unfortunately I didn’t look at this forum and see the Rossi is not the best for 3d.
Can anyone recommend the best prop for this engine/plane.
Would changing the engine for a Weston UK T1 make a big difference?
I really like 4-strokes (although never own one) and was thinking of an ASP 91 its 200 grams more than the Rossi. Would this make a big difference, I have saved about 50 grams using light servos.
If I need to change the engine I would like to use a 4-stroke as seem good at turning large props with lots of torque and sound very good.
Any ideas would be much appreciated

a well set up rossi 53 with a 12.25x3.75/12x4 prop is a real smoker if you use the mini pipe this engine is great, we have run it on so many planes it's hard to remember where it did not work, the weston /webra is a fine engine but will be no better. our rossi's, the best engines in it's class. fact!!!

My Rossi 53 is more powerful than my Webra 50, heck it's more powerful than just about any sub 60 sized engine. The only thing about the Rossi is that it's about 3 or so ozs heavier. So the Rossi is perfect for tail heavy 40 sized models which need a bit more punch.

Since you've got it use it. I've got a Rossi 45 and it's a powerhouse. I'm probably going to get rid of it, not because if's not a good engine, but likes been said, it's heavy. Also it's large (needs a 60 size mount) and it's annoyingly noisy with the mini tuned pipe (I like it but a lot of people complained at several fields).
