I'm in the preliminary stages of getting one of these planes from wildhare. I'm more or less thinking out-loud on this so bare with me.
This will be the largest plane that I have owned flew so far (I have a DP ultimate 120). I'm thinking about using either a DA50, Bme 50, or a brison 3.2 on her. Any of these engines stand out more then the others as far as performance and reliability? Also on the servos I asked Tom F. if the hitec 5475's would be a good choice for the plane. He said no they are too slow and have plastic gears, he recommended the 5645's. Any thoughts or suggestions on that? One more thought. I will eventually be looking to go to a 35% or larger aircraft soon. Does anyone think it would be worth it to just save my money and wait a little longer to just go with the bigger plane or would this plane be a worthwhile stepping stone. I have a little less then a years worth of experience, but i have flown almost everyday for the last year 3 to 4 flights a day. I have had several different types of A/C in that time frame. I feel confident that I can fly anything with a motor and fixed wing. Remember guys just thinking out-loud here. Would love to hear your comments.

Paul,
Since that post. I have put a deposit on the plane and bought 5 hitec 5945. I am going to be using a DA-50r. I'm very excited. This is going to be one sweet plane. I wish Tom would get a video up of the prototype he has been flying, so we can see it in action!

You did the right thing.
This plane will be a great stepping stone to bigger stuff. The 5945's will be usable in bigger aircraft also.
I would have also picked the DA-50 or the BME-50.

DA 50 hands down. Best running, most power best service of any 50 around.
My DA 50 turns the same prop as my Brisson 4.2
Often at my filed I will watch someone flipping the ZDZ walk out with my DA, flip once and take off while they are still flipping.
You will LOVE your DA. Only problem is you will not go back to glow ever again!!!

I have seen and flown a plane with a DA50.
It has a lot of power for such a small engine.
it is $100 more than a Brison of the same size.
