OK, spring is here, I've run out of building time and don't really know anything about arf's. Can someone recommend a good aerobatic (scale) arf plane for a YS91? I got excited about the Aeroworks Edge, but they are out of stock for 3 months!

Have you thought about the 60's available from Fun-Key/Yellow Aircraft. The Giles they have looks NICE!! From what I've seen they are some of the best constructed ARFs out there. Most builders won't be ashamed to own one. Here's their websites.

I have the WM Super Chipmunk with YS91FZ. It is a great combination, plenty of vertical performance. Very nice arf, also my first. Mine has retracts. If I got another one I would go with fixed gear. The retract that came with the kit broke one of the plastic housings early. Replaced with another type with metal housing.

Thanks for all the advice. The FunKEy GIles 300 intrigues me, mainly because of hte airfoil tail section. My experience has been that an airfoil stab makes for a better flying plane. I've also heard that their quality is good from a couple of sources.

You can buy direct from Yellow aircraft or you can get them from Dynamic Balsa. I picked mine up at Toledo. I am planning on maybe picking up a couple more in the future. I have recommended this manufacturer alot. I love my .60 SU-31. I could not have built it lighter, straighter or CHEAPER. The only complaint I have is going to be in the graphics. I have mine on the plane but am Thinking of having Die Hard Graphics cut me some vynle ones.
