Default 78" Edge 540 motor?

Hello...I'm putting together an Edge 540 ARF. Was wondering what a good engine would work for 3D flying. It says a 1.20 or larger 2-stroke or I could go with a 4 stroke. My question is...how about a DLE 20 ? I have never used a gasoline engine but I have a few I would like to use. Have any of you used gasoline engines in these 3D type planes? Or maybe I should go electric? Would appreciate your thoughts. Thanks.

I think you want more then a 20cc. Even more so if you want to 3D. I have a 20cc DLE in my 65 Pilot Extra and its a good combination. I have Stinger 40 cc in my Goldberg 77" Yak. A dle 35 or Da35 or a twin Stinger 40 would be a great match.

Thanks...I have a DLE 35 I'm not using. Before I decide I think I'll get a good idea of the finished weight. Thanks!
