Default Goldberg Sukhoi

Yes I am looking for a gas engine for a Goldberg Sukhoi that would not just completely overpower it but enough that would pull it out of a hover better than a Saito 180 I have got into gas and like the money saving and power from gas engines. I appreciate any info on this Thanks Ryan

I have a Goldberg Sukhoi thats going to arrive tomorrow cant wait to start on it... I plan on building it as light as possible. I will be powering mine with an OS 1.60 trying to keep the weight down the less the better. If you want gas try here they have some small gassers.

RCS engines ARE small. But they're heavy. I did some research and the ZDZ 40 is lighter then the RCS 30. And trust me, the RCS 20 wouldn't have enough power to hover the Sukhoi, you need the 30 or bigger.

When I get a wad of cash, I may buy a ZDZ 40.

I hope you realize that you are going from a saito 180 with almost 3 hp to a motor with almost 5. I like putting 90 engines on 40 sized airplanes but dont you think this is a bit much. Anyway, i hope it flys as good extremely overpowered as the do with a o.s. 120 4 stroke

Put the servos in the tail and you will have enough balance to install a 3 lb engine.

Not to mention you'll save yourself a lot of anguish and bad words over setting up the pull-pull systems...
