What should I look for in a plane if I am looking for 3D surfaces.

Second Question. What exactly is counter balancing surfaces?

Does anyone have any pictures so I can see how it's done?

Thanks

Look for an elevator that is at least half of the total surface area. A counter balance is when the end of the elevator extends past the hinge line. Sort of like an "L"
