I've seen some things that say the Extra is best at precision flying (IMAC sequences), with the Edge being best at 3D, and the CAP best at freestyle. Assuming equal power to weight, in 72" WS - 84" WS sizes, which of these designs is best suited for a combination of general IMAC-type flying with some freestyle thrown in? Not interested in 3D at this time. Had a Midwest Extra that is no more and trying to decide on a replacement.
Thanks for your input.

I would deffinetly go with the Extra 300L or a 330. They just fly so nice. You will notice alot of people fly them at the toc. I have a edge right now but will soon have a Extra.

Get the plane that looks the best to you.
If it is set up correctly, you will not see any big difference unless you are approaching advanced or unlimited skill in aerobatics.

Get an Edge. I have a H9 with a BME 50cc. I love it. It flies great. Does anything I want it to and lands easy. Check out my videos on my site.
