Default Help me change the no 3D rule!

Most are not happy with the new Safety Code as it makes the type of flying we enjoy and the spectators ask for against the rules. It seems that the only way we can do that is to change some of the folks on the AMA EC. The time to do that is THIS WEEK! If you are in District VIII, get your ballot out of that pile of waiting bills and mail right now and vote.

There are 3 "official" candidates.

The first is the incumbent, Dr. H. Sanford Frank a psychologist who tried to control who we got to vote for by nominating his friends to keep others off the ballot. We have not heard from him except for his vigorous snail mail campaign statements.

The second is Horrace Cain who previously as the AMA VP in District VI resigned for unclear reasons. He also tried to control the ballot. He says he likes the idea of getting rid of rules, but speaks of no specific plan of action.

The third is a relativity unknown who is overseas.

The fourth candidate is the write in candidate, Jim Branaum AMA 1428. I would like to change that rule and think it can be done, but to do so I need YOUR write in vote for AMA VP in District VIII.

Thanks for your time,
Jim Branaum

I certainly wouldn't vote for someone solely based on the above single line statement. So what is you mission? What are you for and against? What issues you are aware of, and what is your plan of action regarding them? And specifically regarding the 3D torque rolling issue, will you completely eliminate it, or revise it to be realistic and address safety concerns without restricting the everyday pilots ability to torque roll all they want? Are you for or against eliminating the jet turbine waiver, or would you make it more or less restrictive, and what are the reasons you would do so? What would you propose to do about flying sites being lost due to noise issues and safety concerns from towns and landowners? What about the current existing limits on size and weight for giant scale, would you increase or decrease them and why? There are lots more questions that you need to answer before blindly asking for people to vote, but its a start.

I am pretty sure all of those questions have been answered in other more appropriate forums. If you are in District VIII and these are your concerns, spend some time looking around in the AMA Discussion forum. Before you do that make sure to set your scan to 90 days first.

Thanks, I'll go scour the AMA discussion forum for your statements on these issues.
