Default CA Extra 2.3m

I have a DA50 and it claims that the plane weighs 20-22lbs., but i thought that Composite planes are lighter. The Edge 540 from Aerowroks weighs 16-18 lbs. and has a 92" wingspan. Is there some mistake or is this the true weights.

Thanks in advance
dan

I heard from a Rep that they built a prototype with ZDZ 80 at 19lbs with standard equipment and no lightening methods like lithiums or spinner.

I would say it will be around 18-20 depending on your set-up with motor, yet no one has one so I don't know. I'm waiting to see how they come out and then I plan to get one with a ZDZ 80.
