Well today I finally got to fly my new planes.The UCD is everything I hoped it would be.I'm not anygood as a 3D flyer, but I can see that I've got the right plane for the job.I've got the rates turned down and it makes even me look good.Also I flew my 40 size Uproar for the first time and I have got to say for the money it is one hell of a fun plane .I found myself putting more flights on it then the UCD. I can see I'm going to buy another kit and see if I can play around with the plans and get one that will 3D just for the fun of it.

Sounds like you are having fun. Instead of getting another Uproar kit take a look at the Dazzler kit. It is essentially the same plane with a fuselage. The added side area will allow for better knife edge (which the Uproar is lacking). I'm planning this same plane for fun having flown an Uproar. To gain even better knife edge and 3D flying I also will extend the fuselage length by 3 to 4 inches. This will give even more side area and improve the stability in Tork Rolls.

Also, if you ever need to repair the tail end of that thind, make the rudder bigger!

I made the tail and elevator 3/4 of a inch larger and I guess that is why it is so responsive.It's not as good as my U Can Do. But until I get comfortable with it the Uproar as set up will do.But I am in the building mood so I want to build something that when done will do 3D.And not cost me a lot of money.

Try a profile like the (Omp) Edge 540 or the Morris hobbies Sledge 540 if you wait until Jan the Yak 46 will be ready to buy as a kit. And you will not have to make any mods it will do all the 3-D tricks and will make you a OMP LOVER. If you wait they will be ARF the planes soon It will be great when they Do.
