I think this has been the most discussed subject on RCU. Go and do a search on Funtana/Saito 91, you will come up with a lot of stuff. The Saito 91S is the FAR better chocie for this plane, APC 15x4W and 30% heli fuel
. Best

Ok thanks. Any reason why I should get the Saito 91 instead of the 72 (except for the more power)?... How big of an improvment will I gain?

One more thing, I notived on the RCU review that when they installed the Saito 100 on the Funtana it left a pretty big gap between the spinner and the cowl. How big if any will be the gap with the Saito 91?

I think that the OS61 is not better than the Saito 91 cause you need more torque for 3D than speed and the OS61 has more speed (and probably weighs more) which I dont need for this kind of plane.

PlagueWielder,
I first put a Saito 72 on it and it had "OK" power(would hover and pull out slow). I read too much about the 100 and just changed to it and have 6-8 flights on it. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There is no other combo as far as I'm concerned! By the way, it weighs less than the 91. I'm at 6 lbs even and have tons of pullout power.
It still flies light - elevators upright and inverted the same, hovers and harriers as good and no bad tendacies with 3.5 more ounces than the 72.
Most fun I've had with plane since I started 2 years ago!

I have a YS .63 on mine and the unlimted vertical, hovering is not a problem...no rocket ship, but power to weight ratio is very important. The Saito .91 or 100 would be fine though.

I had a TT 61 Pro two stroke in mine for a while but it wasn't a success. Could only just hold a hover with it and it was damn noisy too. More nitro would help, but we're pretty much limited to 5% here on cost grounds. Have an ASP 91 four stroke in it now but have yet to get out and fly it, just can't get the right combo' of free time and good weather!
It should be a nice combination though, fingers crossed.
