Ahhh, low light. Keep it close rule goes in full effect.

At Joe Nall this past year, I flew my Flip with a guy standing next to me with a Q-Beam. That was interesting.

Me and a buddy were flying our 25% planes in formation last night as darkness was beginning to fall. It was lots of fun.

Yes, I must say I have tried flying my IFO at night without lights before. I got in a couple of laps before I hit the ground (or something solid). I wasn't too concerned about crashing though as these IFO's can take a beating.
Well that was the first and last time I will do that.
Enjoy...

If there wasnt a chance of a crash then it would be no fun. I crash a lot but thats simply b/c I push myself a little far from time to time.

I guess you just lowered you throttle and made a harrier landing.....No, no, you wouldn't have done that, Rule #9.....Yes, I guess you landed "normally"

BTW, that's what I call flying ON THE EDGE.

Eagle one your right...I would never break rule #9 [:-] . Unless of course my life depended on it, or someone I knows life depended on it, or nobody else was around, or to show off, or on days that end in Y .

Last week I 3D'd my T-3D 2 at the local park in complete blackness with my dad at the spotlight and a bunch of friends watching. Nervewracking, but I did violate rule #9 quite a few times! Most of the violations were tail touching, grabbing the airplane out of a hover, and the wing touching the ground when the spotlight would wander. Loads of fun! Does rule#9 even apply to electrics?

Rule #9 doesnt apply as far as I am concerned . If you are not at a meet and nobody at your field cares then I say go for it. Plus its not illegal until 12/31/03. I would watch how I tell people about grabbing your airplane out of the air. I said that once and boy did I get a lecture from a lot of people telling me that it created a "bad name" for 3D. I guess thats a lot like the same lecture saying that a true display of 3D talent is hovering at 75" high , 200" away. Sure....whatever you say oldtimer.

Just as a disclaimer, I do fly at an outlaw field. We dont follow those stinkin rules!! Just use a little common sense and if you hurt yourself then its your own @$$. Everybody else knows better than to walk around aimlessly when someone is doing extreme stuff.
