I have been tasked by Island Hobbies with coming up with ideas for a graphics set for the new Capiche 140ex. They are also looking to change the Capiche 50 sticker set too for the new year.
Ive been scanning website for clip art etc so that I can come up with a set that includes text of course (Like the model name, Island Hobbies and other tag lines etc) but rather than just stars etc, to add some other funky things for people to decorate the model.
Ive spent hours looking around and so far am not coming up with much... Im looking for something subtle.. sexy maybe... and something that encapsulates the awesome capabilities of the Capiche models - especially the 140.
For example you might have a Road Runner silhouette or a Rocket for a fast model...
Then it occurred to me... dont know if this has been done before but there must be shed loads of you out there with ideas and suggestions so why not just ask !?
Here is your chance to have some input to the new Capiche Graphics/Sticker sets for 2004.!!
So... suggest away if you dont mind ....
(BTW - these will be computer cut graphics from vinyl, not printed graphics)
thanks in advance for any ideas !
For those that have not seen the model its a Artistic Aerobatic model / 3D Aero . The 50 is a small one at 56" span and the 140 is a 2 metre thoroughbred...
Pics for your info..

Must admit on the C50 stickers that I far preferred the font that the CAPICHE was written in, as opposed to that used for the ISLAND HOBBIES, which looked a bit wimpy.
I do like the Island Hobbies logo though.
Stars are always popular, but how about lightning flashes?
Also, will they only be available in black? Is multi coloured possible or can only one colour be done.
And "C50" and "C140" as well as the full name.

yep I agree, offer the Capiche 50 sticker in other colours rather than just black.
I always tend to pick simple finishing schemes for my models, because at that stage I just want to get on and fly the thing.
Ideally I want to cover my Capiche in just one colour - white probably and then chose a full sticker set in a range of colours from you to make the job quick and make my model look sexy.
At the moment its a quick build airframe, but then to get it to look nice you spend a lot of time covering. Speed up the covering process with a full vinyl sticker set for lazy sods like me

Anyone think Capiche C50 sounds better? than just 50?? I do!!
As an idea take a look at the graphics packs that freestyle models supply with their freestyle, theyre reet impressive!
www.sigmasignwriting.com i think it is.

From: Jersey,
Actually the sticker sets have been available in different colours - its just that we did not want to stock all the colours.
If someone asks (and they have) for a different colouor then we oblige - it might just take a week or two to get it to them.
Most people want Black however...

Archie, i like to collect logos and graphics, so i'll mail a few over..
which addy should i use?
type vinyl graphics into a search engine and be prepared to kill a hour or two.
i found this simple "tribal" graphic and used it on my car shell.

IMO The freestyle actually looks as though its a sprayed composite model. The red and blue one looks very nice. I downloaded the video of this plane from the bumpy green website (56mb, wot was i thinking
[X(]) and it seams pretty capable.
