I am thinking of building this kit for my Irvine 53 or YS 63. I would like to know if anyone has tips on building and flying. My poor old MM TopCap (RIP's) needs to be replaced.

I am looking for a built up fuselage airplane with unlimited aerobatic potential. Does anyone have another suggestion?

Thanks in advance,

Great plane. Either the YS or the Irvine will require more right thrust. I took the wooden mount off and replaced it with a nylon one which I gave another 2-3 deg of right thrust
Double bevel the elevator and rudder to give big movments.
I strengthen the Mass balance on mine with a carbon rod running from trailing edge to leading edge on elevator. Stopps vibration at high RPM in prop hang as well as lessens the chances of ripping off elevators in long grass on landing.
Replace the kit push rods with 4-40 and put the best servos you can on the elvator. This makes for a super flip machine. Really postaive on the pitch control.
Play with the CG. The plane really changes with a rearward CG. A lot more unstable in normal flight but supereb in waterfalls flips and flat flat inverted spins.
Build the rest as per box and enjoy
