Default needing some tricks.

New to the aerobatic scene. Just bought a big stick and I dont really know what some tricks are that I can work on. I can barrel roll and stalh and basic little things . can you let me know some new tricks to learn. thanks. Todd

Those are great links, but here are some

1) Harrier

2) Hover

3) Torqueroll

4) Harrier rolling circle

5) Point rolls

6) Pinwheels

7) Waterfalls

8) Parachutes

9) Walls

10) Blenders

11) FLATSPINS

12) Rollng Loops

13) Immelmans

14) Split S's

15) Lomecevaks

16) Inverte Flight

Hope some of ths helps! I will post how to do these sometime soon, but I am very busy now!!!

Some basic things I started with. First and foremost fly at least 3 mistakes, about 150-200' high or MORE!

1. Do 2-3 loops in a row starting and ending in the exact same spot in space and on the same line. Bigger and symmetrical is better. But start small and learn to really fly through your loops to keep them straight, not just full up and loop in whatever direction the plane goes.
2. Learn the outside loop (start HIGH, cut power, full down, add power back in at the bottom, continue holding down elevator to get back to the top)
3. Slow, continuous rolls on a straight horizontal line all the way across the field. (not easy, will make you a much better pilot) Learn the trick to giving down elevator to keep the nose level while in the inverted portion.
4. 4 point roll.1/4 roll hold a sec, 1/4 to inverted hold a sec, 1/4 to other knife edge hold a sec. and last 1/4 roll to level.
5. Flying Inverted. Ailerons stick works EXACTLY the same as when rightside up, coming at you and going away. May have to keep a little down elevator(push) to keep the nose up level. Learn to fly upside dowm racetrack and figure 8's. It works exactly the same way as upright except you push the elevator stick to get the nose up.
6. Knife Edge, not easy be careful. Roll the plane on its side, wings pointing up and down. Once there immediately give opposite rudder of the aileron input you gave to roll it to get the nose pointing up. i.e. roll right to knife edge, give left rudder and plenty of it, but ease it in. Get really high to practice this. Be careful once on edge the plane is going to head for the ground until you get the opposite rudder in. Also the plane may want to fly towards the wheels or canopy on edge. At this point the elevator becomes the rudder. Think it through and you will be able to knife edge in a straight line in no time. May need to put some mixes in your radio to get it straight and true with only rudder input to stay at the same altitude.
Once you get good, you can add in more rudder to actually climb UP, OVER, DOWN and BACK to knife edge. Called obviously a Knife Edge Loop.
7. Square loop.
Pull in a nice short but smooth radius to vertical. Climb about 100' and pull up just as you did to start the loop to get inverted. Hold flat and level for about 100' inverted. Cut throttle and Pull smooth to descend straight down 100' back to the elevation you started. The pull at the bottom and add throttle in time to end up level and upright at the exact same elevation you started. Trick is make all 4 pulls the exact same radius and all 4 legs the exact same length so you end up right back where you started elevation and line. Once you get good at a snap roll at the top from inverted to inverted without getting out of line and losing/gaining elevation.

Turns,
1. Humpty Bump.
Pull straight up, while climbing roll halfway(180 degrees) to where you see the bottom of the wings(and landing gear... continue to climb up the same distance as before you rolled 180. Give up elevator at the top and once you get over the top and are headed to the ground cut power. Fall straight down, now canopys facing you. Pull up elevator to end up 100' from the deck and ease the power in to flat and level. Once you get good you can add a full roll on the way down.
2. Stall turn.
Straight up till the plane wants to sortof slow vertical. Full rudder with minimum power to stall over ( I go right) once the plane snaps over facing down, cut power, vertical drop and come out same as a humpty bump.
3. Immelman.
Flat and level give up elevator. Once at the top of the loop inverted, roll with ailerons left or right and you are flying in the opposite direction.
4 Split S
HIGH, flat and level. Roll the plane to inverted. Reduce power to just above idle and give enough up elevator to loop towards the ground and back to flat and level in the opposite direction.
5. Cuban 8- Climb at 45 degrees, roll inverted and pull up elevator to loop under. COme through the loop smoothly and continue right into to 45 degree angle climb in the opposite direction. Roll inverted pull up elevator and loop under. ALmost like a split S except you roll over while climing at 45 degrees. Try to roll inverted at the center of the 8 in the exact same spot.

6. Snap Roll. Get plenty high.
Give a little up elevator to point the nose up a little anda split second later give give full right aileron and full left rudder. Make sure you hold full over on the sticks till the plane is upright again.

Sorry so long, thats some of the stuff I work on to not only be areobatic but SMOOTH and Straight. Sortof like pattern , but really just to practice going straight up and down the field and making nice symmetrical shapes in the sky. Also all of this stuff should be possible without going to high rates. Except maybe snap rolling and Knife Edge loops.

Im sure you will see plenty about 3D manuevers like blenders, harriers, elevators, hover and all that explained. But I would try to get good at the basic looping and turning maneuvers. All the while working on some cool 3D stuff up high. If you can do great continuous rolls, loops and knife edges, the 3D stuff will be that much easier.

Sorry if my terms and techniques arent IMACtically correct. They are just the general idea. [8D]
