A club member learning to hover his super stick .60, mvvs .61 w/tuned pipe. Its a little high but he's getting the hang of it. Next weekend we'll get lower, lower, lower....

WOW, thas a nice field! I can hover my ultra stcik 60 on a tower hobbies .61 BB ABC. I'm sure they fly almost the same.

I gotta a question. DO u think i can hover a .40 Super stick with a O.S 40 on it. I also have a OS 61 but i think its too heavy and it will flop over if i try to land it. Plus im still learning but just asking will a Superstick 40 hover????????????????????????????????????????????? ??thanks

thanks, halfandhalf825...my field is 10 acres of buffalo grass, not a tree or house in sight for at least a mile...we hope to irrigate this year, its currently dryland.

hey skypilot, i had a ultra stick 40 with my current 61 BB ABC. Its not to heavy, just add about 2 oz of weight to the tail. Lemme tell you, this thing is very very very FAST!! To make a turn at full throttle, i had to put the plane all the way on its side and turn with the elevator! The fastest plane i ever had. Then' i crashed into a power line poll and it ripped the wing right off. After the wing fell off, the plane kept going. This plane is fast! so just watch out!

Thanks for notifing me of the info half. Its really appreciated. Yea with a 40 mines rolls extremly fast and movees VERY Fast. I just want to know can it hoVer and can it do something else. Thanks for all the info again.

today me and a friend of mine took our superstick 60. out and reenforced the planes high stress points and then put on an OS 91 FX 2 stroke and put a custom tune pipe he had been working on for weeks we took the plane up an we had created a 60 size pylon racer we put a 10-8 APC prop on it and than we were amazed this plane went like 120 it was amazing. i called my friend Peat out and we raced his midgit mustang and the Superstick won cause of its speed. this goes to tell you that this plane is fast and that it will be your fastest pane if you want to invest that much in it. it got so dam fast that we had to put flaperons to bleed off speed.[8D]

the speed of the stick can be explained very easyily 1. it has a huge engine 2. the stick has the basic design of a pylon racer to begin with if you made it a V tail it would be a pylon racer. 3 the wing is fairly thin and fully symetrical and also its the same shape the whole way through every wing rib is the same shape. and 4 they are built fairly light btw did i mention the thing fuse. all of these factors create a very fast very forgiving plane that will slow down, its the best of all worlds and probly the best plane ever designed
