From: Lima, OH,
I'd like to hear some ideas on the modification of a Pizzaz to get it to be a better 3D performer.
It's running a Saito 80 and it has plenty of power.
Does it need a longer tail moment? Do the tail surfaces need to be increased?
The servos do need to be mounted in the rear of the fuselage.
Anybody got any ideas?

Redesign the wing, the fues, the tail and make it a pound lighter. Heck just buy a different airplane. The Pizzaz lacks all out 3D ability and Im not sure if there is anything you can do with that ugly design to clean it up. Just my opinion of course.

well if u dont want to listen to him youll proly want to make the rudder and elevator bigger and you could also put counter balances on them. i dont have a pizzaz but my friends and my somthin extras can torque roll and hover just by changing th rudder. wish i had mor to offer

My opinon is that it's a pos.
Anyway,I tied the elevator together and will use 2 440 rods for a over and under pull, pull set up, I've enlarged the vertical fin and will set up the servo in the same manner as the elevator.
I just want it to tumble and flat spin.
If this doesn't work I guess I can practic low hovers until it breaks. It has to be good for something.

If you wnat tumbles and flat spins just leave it as is, up the throw rates and go for it. It will flat spin upright or inverted in one place for a whole tank. Treat it right and it will climb. What more do you want?

I could never get this plane to tumble. I'd end up with an outside loop and it wouldn't be very tight.
I believe the saito was too heavy for the original configuration.
Since the weather is trash I'd thought I'd do something to it to see if I could improve anything on it since all other plane projects are ready to go.
The engine will go into a Flip, U Can Do, or a Hype. That's what I'm kickin' around any ways.
In the meantime this is something to work on until the weather is fit.

Hey Pat get rid of that pizzaz and get the funtana alot less work. I think the funtana is a better performer than the ucando 3d.
Better yet I have a omp edge 46 profesional built by yours truly. That I will sell you. I will also give you 3d flying lessons if you want.

Well Pat when you go to work at 2:00p.m. and get off at 6:00am and when you get home you kinda want to get some sleep. Besides I would have called you but I went back to work at 2:00p.m. on my day off so that I can earn some extra money so that I can put this Katana together. I will call you Monday. Ha ha ha ha ha
