I recently aquired a Sig Somethin' Extra for cheap.... I have a newer Magnum 52 2 stroke and am wondering if this will have any 3D capabilities.... I have done some 3D with a SPAD3D(harriers, hover, TR etc.). I would like to get a Funtana or Flip or something like that but I just welcomed in a new flier to the family so money to spend on RC is a little tight.... I suppose I could put the boys name on it and tell my wife I'm just going to test it for him, for the next 15 years or so
Any comment/suggestions would be welcome.
Thanks
Lee

the 52 will probably be marginal unless the s.e. is exceptionally light. we had good luck with a saito 72. hovered fine, lacked rudder authority. we took flying wires off and counterbalanced the rudder; mostly to reduce vertical fin area. just cut it where the 1/4 in. stick goes across fin. it helped a lot, would maintain knife edge then. When the canopy blew off, the rudder worked even better! had plenty elevator. Hope this helps.

I have had three and I loved them all !!! On my last one I made the rudder huge and added counter balances. I have a ST 50 in mine and I can TR it at 3/4 throttle. My buddy has one with a magnum 52 in his and his TR better than mine.
Hope this helps

I've got some pics on my site that show the rudder, although I can't find the one that shows it before covering. I added about an inch to the top as a counterbalance, and another inch to the end of it. also added an inch to the elevators.
