I'm scratch building a Goldberg Sukhoi (73" wing) and would like to go gas. I was going to put an MDS 1.48 or OS 1.60 in it, but I want to go with gas if I can. Hoped to put a 46cc poulan on it. About 3.5 to 4 lbs. Is this engine too heavy??????????????

My CGB Sukhoi had a YS120NC engine and over 1 pound of lead in the nose. The engine box was built short and this necessetated the lead. I would recommend that you build the box short and put the engine on stand-offs to get the balance correct. Also, make sure to put the elevator servos in the tail.

you can put this engine in the sukhoi. i had an 80" midwest extra with a fox 3.2 or 52cc engine and it flew beautifully. i am now flying a 35% cap with a 3w-140, and this plane recommended max is a 100cc. the key is to ensure your landing gear is long enough to accomodate the longer prop and the dimensions will jive from firewall to front of cowl.
