I have one that has flown all winter and if I lost it I would definately replace this airplane. It is not 3D as billed though. Its a pattern plane that loves to knife edge. It is very precise. Mine is flown at 35% on low rates and 80% on high. This plane is rock solid when on final as long as you are nose heavy. There are a couple of things to change. Pushrods to fiberglass, reinforce the firewall, Sullivan tail wheel, and a large servo arm for the rudder. Many forums have been written on this plane, can't remember a bad one.

thanks man! Makes me feel i made a good decision. is this plane meant to be a little nose heavy? If so, i suppose it can do a little hovering too. At least i've tried to n it worked. I'm flying this thing on 60% D/R and 100% on full rates. Are the control throws sufficient?
Secondly, what could be the next step if i'd want to move onto a rather smart plane and yet try 3D?

I like mine to be nose heavy, have tried flying it balanced on the CG and it was a hand full. I have hovered mine but not to long and not close to the ground as you should to do it properly. As far as rates go I have mine set on 40% aileron and 50% elevator. But I don't know what my throws are at that setting. My high rates are set at 80%, Its to tough to fly at 100% the way that mine is set up.
This plane is not a 3D plane, its a pattern ship. 3D planes are not supposed to be fast. There are many good ones. Would not know what to recomend as I do not fly one.

thanks for the advice. mine just crashed y'day. Got jammed at full throttle coming out of a snap roll, came down like a stone. i guess batt got detached. mine just had 20 or so flights on it. Took a big heart to come to terms with reality....Anyway, it was one hell of a machine that lived up to its name 'majestic' .

It will knife edge perfect, but that's not a 3D maneuver. It will snap like the Majestic. Harriers won't be like true 3D airplanes. Its made to go fast like all pattern planes do. 3D plane are made to go slow and do all those maneuver's at slow speeds. Thats why they have such large control surfaces.
