Mini 3D Good plane?
I am looking for a good 3D plane that is decently easy to hover. Does any one have this plane? Is this a good plane to fly and build?

Ya, this plane rocks. I would run the .25fx. The .15cva is good, but could use a little more power. The most stable plane in a harrier I've flown... Lots of fun, and it's cheap.

Yes, it is very easy to hover. Luckily I haven't tested its survivability yet
A spad would last longer if you are learning to hover, but yes, the mini is very easy to hover.

Only in the harrier....
Mat - like I told you on the phone, Wayne is unreal. You've got to come out here for a flying session w/ these guys. Rolling harriers right on the deck w/ a 40%. I wish I had the ba??s... You & Eda should come out for some vaca... Turn the women lose on the mall and we fly all weekend.

RE: Mini 3D Good plane?
Finally got some good weather today to fly mine with the newly installed .25la. All i can say is perfect engine for this airplane. Originally had a Magnum .15 installed and was just enough to hover with very little pull out ability. Installed the.25la and on the second flight i was abusing the rudder. sshh...doin the#9. Anyway, flew mine with a .25la and a buddy's with a .25fx and both were perfect. The .25fx has better throttle response due to the 2-needle carb but the la should be good after it gets broken in and i get the needles set. I just hate air bleed carbs. Anyway, i would highly recommend this airplane to anyone who is interested. Lots of fun and easy to transport. Great back yard airplane for a big backyard.

Wow!
I just got the Mini 3D yesterday.. what a fabulous plane out of the box. ARF quality is getting better.. and I thought Yellow Aircraft had a corner on the 'quality' market... but now these planes are built very well. I bought the Mini 3D and the Edge profile. I'm using an old 25 FSR (circa 1986) and hitec hs-81s and 225s... cross your fingers.

RE: Wow!
easies to hover I have with norvel 15. true vertical pullout is slow, but the weight is so good (29 oz.) that I don't want the extra weight of a 25 just to get pullout; it is so light that hovering is easy. no wobble, flies so slow that you can't hardly get in trouble! only problem that I've had is fuel creep under an aileron; it wasn't sealed too good, and goop got under covering, and I have to re-do it. would recommend ironing it down on the exhaust side just in case! also, be sure and ca the servo blocks in as stated in the addendum; I didn't bother, and popped one off, which was a pain.

Electric?
What can people recommend for converting to electric?
- Motor (brushless), speed control, batteries...?
I just bought a bunch of HS 81s and a feather receiver..
Thanks in advance,
Juhan

Ok I jsut got a Mini 3d. I was going to put a GMS.25 on it but am having second thoughts. I am thinking of going brushless on it. What do you guys think? Would the GMS.25 be a good choice.? Overkill?
