Default help with Sig something extra

I have recently finished building my Sig something extra 46. The engine is broken in and everything else seems to be running smooth. The problem is that Sig is my first 3D plane and i would greatly appreciate any advice before my first flight.[]

Thank you

Default RE: help with Sig something extra

The SE is a good plane that will do some 3D. It's not a bad plane to get a bit more aggressive with. Pending you have all the basics in place, and you have balanced the plane properly (with recommended throws too), you will probably do fine. Just stay off of the high rates for a while, and get used to turning them back off when you try them. Many pilots thunk a plane because they give low rate elevator pull, and the tx is in high rate mode. Elevator stalls suck!

After a few dozen flights, start to experiment with the CG and throws. Sadly, now isn't a bad time to start building your next 3D plane, as once you start to pick up your confidence, you usually aren't far from picking up some pieces...

Good luck, enjoy the ride.
