I had one a few years back. I flew it for a year or so.
Sold it someone and they wasted it on the 2nd flight.
Mine had an OS 46 FX. Flew it well.
Good kit.
I dont think you will have enough room for smoke though.

One of my flying buddies built one last year. It came out awfully heavy for a .40-size wing area.
He swapped the 46FX for a 91FX, but the necessary tail-weight put the already heavy wing-loading over the edge.
I figured the weight was why Tower stopped marketing them.

I passed on that one because it seemed too small. I like my bipes slow and close-in. Go for the CG Ultimate if you can find one. Or, if you're cheap like me, get a Sig Hog Bipe. Old school and ugly but I expect it to be an excellent knock around with a 90-4C. I has ailerons on both wings, generous surfaces, and looks like it will be a blast. Beauty contestants need not apply.

I have the Gp Ultimate with a Saito 91 installed, flies great, unlimited vertical. I like the Gp version better because I can throw it in the my van, or the trunk of car, all assembled. Get to the field and pull it out and fly it, no messing around with the stuts,cabanes, and pushrods. If you wanna stick with a 2 stroke I would go with an Irvine 53, a 46 will fly it fine, but it is just ever so slightly underpowered with the 46. The Saito 91 is awesome in this plane, and the weight of the Saito 91 isnt bad at all, a couple of ounces heavier than a 46. Good luck, Daz...

Thanks for the info guys,how would an O.S. .32sx be in this plane if I lightened it? I want my next plane to be an aerobatic model because I havn't had one for a while but right now I only have my .32. If I can't build this model light and make the 32 work I may go with the GP DAZZLER...looks like a fun one.I was also looking at the tower hobbies .46 for the ultimate because it seems like a powerful motor for the price. who knows maybe I'll just fork out the money for a big gasser pitts

Get a Byron Pitts or Christen Eagle for your G-62. It will fly it nice. I have also seen people flying the GP Pitts 1/3 Scale ARF with this engine.
As for the Ultimate, I would not recommend a .32 engine in it. At least not if you would like to do some 3D or want to have unlimited vertical. If you ask me, I would not buy it at all. I would go for the Carl Goldberg Ultmate Kit or ARF. I have one (built from a Kit), and it does whatever you want (can be as smooth or wild on high rates) with a OS 120 Four Stroke. Awsome plane ! I am building right now another one with a Webra 120, Cline fuel regulator and Perry Smoke system. Hmmm....... can hardly wait to fly that one.
If you would like to stay within the .40 size, then I strongly recommend the Global Ultimate with an OS 70 Four Stroke. Very nice ARF and Engine combo.

I am just finishing my GP Ultimate and found the kit to be quite enjoyable. As far as wing loading goes mine should come out no worse than any other aerobatic aircraft. You have to keep in mind that there is 2 wings. There small size looks like the wing loading would be quite extreem but, to me, there is no problem associated with this plane. From what I have heard from others with this plane is that the aircraft seems heavy but flies quite lite. I have seen 2 of these planes in flight and saw no problem with the weight. I did, however, see a problem with a lack of power. The .46 just doesn't have enough thrust to overcome all the drag assoicated with all biplanes. That is why I got the O.S. 70 in there, so I can swing a big prop.

This plane flies very well, considering it's weight. Unfortunately as the others have said, it is probably a bit overdesigned, as most do come out fairly heavy for a .40 (???) sized plane. I am afraid your .32 would prove a major dissapointed in this plane. The one I flew had a large (.91) four stroke in it and was a blast to fly, but between the heavy airframe (even WITH two wings) and a larger (heavier) engine, the wing loading was on up there.
Since GP released this design several years ago, they have finally learned that great flying .40 sized aerobatic planes really shouldn't weight as much as 7 lbs ( or more!) :stupid: and their more recent offerings like the .40 CAP 232 build MUCH lighter and fly better for it.

I say go with the 32sx on the Dazzler. Since that plane comes out in the 4 pound range the 32sx should pull it around with authority and the lightweight motor compliments the airframe well.

I was an active IMAC flier here in México til last year when problems occured and IMAC tournaments became extinct (for now at least). A friend had a GP Ultimate powered by an OS 46FX. It would never perform the most basic pattern. He changed for the OS 70 FS. It's vertical performance got better, but still far, far away from unlimited vertical (I'm flying over 8000 ft. over sea level). I dunno how it would perform at sea level, but I agree I wouldn't put a 90 on this plane...
If still willing to own a good aerobat go for the CG Ultimate.

Bipes tend to have a lot drag because of the extra wing so they need more power than a normal monowing plane. I would recommend either the YS .63, the satio .72, or the OS .70 Surpass. With the first two being the most prefered. If this plane balances well with the .46 FX go with the Satio. If it needs more then look at the YS. I would use a 13x6 on these engines.
I think you would be surprised by how much wing area those two little stubby wings provide. Just add enough power to overcome the extra drag.
