Default Plane Give Away - Top Cap

If anyone wants a 3/4 built Top Cap from Morris hobbies, I'll give it away. I just don't have time or space. There is NOTHING wrong w/ it. I have all the hardware, etc.

You must pick it up at my home in Glenview, IL.

First to email me at [email protected] will get it. Please pick up this weekend.

Thanks,
Drew

Do you want it? I'll save it for when you come out.

I'm going to crash my extreme this weekend so I have a motor for the Edge 540. I'm having second thoughts on the YS .63.

House is done. When are you coming out?

Hey Going Vert, why are you having second thoughts about your YS.63? Is yours running a little inconsistant......and if so what fuel are you burning?

Just curious,
YS.63 owner

No problems @ all. I just don't want to shell out the cash to buy the YS .63. I have the Saito .72 on my Extreme 330 (and want to put it in the EF Edge 540), which is why I'm going to blender my Extreme to about 3' off the ground and see if I can pull out.

Do you have a YS .63 you want to sell?

Drew

Im not ready to give up on my YS.63 just yet. But I have had problems keeping it running consistantly though. Im thinking its the fuel Im burning so Im going to try another brand. The funny thing is that most of my engines seem harder to keep consistant since Ive been using this brand.....even my two strokes. So until I try this I'll keep it.

I mean when its running its honkin big time....hauling around my 5.5lb Flip with authority, but when it gives up it just gives up. It's almost like it starts to run lean at the most inoportune time. Like at 4' TR'ing on the deck which is where it let me down last time. We shall see though.

Bring it to Houston. If I can't get it running on my fuel, I'll always wished I could have! You brought it last year and I don't think I ever wrenched on it.

But you know......Im running the same brand of fuel that I was last year. And my Irvine .53 runs awsome 95% of the time but just about 5% of the time it does the same thing that my YS does and thats just quit or bog. Actually the Irvine just stops but the YS loses power.

A few months ago I ran a another brand of fuel in my Irvine and it never quit on me even once. And I dont recall having to tweak the needle every 3 flights either. The fuel Im gonna try now will be the same for both the YS and Irvine so if it works out it will save me having to carry mutiple gallons with me to fly both.

Drew,

I have a digital camcorder. Save the crash for next time we fly together.
I need to see this and video it.

Blue Ice sent the first email, so it's going to him. I'll send you a map of my home tonight.

Wayne, I'll save the Extreme 330 crash for when we get together next. That will be cool to put on RCU.

Stopped by Drew's house to day and picked up the Topcap. I was figuring on picking up a kit and to my amazement this thing was a ARF. Brand new and mostly built. Best of all, it was totally free. Drew took the time to show sam67 and I his hanger. Not to bad at all. sam67 says if she knew you are gonna crash that 330 that she would have taken it off your hands. I just wanted to take another minute here to that rcu and Drew for the gift.
Take care guys, blue ice.

No problem - it was my pleasure. Jeff - next time I fly w/ Wayne I'll drop you an email. Like I told you, Wayne and his crew are great people. I am going to learn so much flying w/ them, and they are fun to be around.

Send me a pic of the Top Cap when it gets in the air.

Drew
