prop 12.250x3.750, hovers at half throttle or less, about 4.5lbs flys like a rocket.

I have your exact combo and really like it. I am running a 12.25x3.75 APC and a MAC Header and 7.5cc Tuned Pipe.. I played around with mousse cans and did quite a bit of building, testing and research on them. IMO you cannot beat the MAC Header and Pipe set-up. Mount your engine as far forward as possible so your not too tail heavy.
You can do a search on my user name ((Dapped)in the Author criteria) and you will find lots of info and pics on my set-up
Cheers
Don

Same combo I run but I just switched from a APC 12.25 x 3.75 prop to a 11.5 x 4 prop and I think it spins up quicker. The engine is awesome and everybit as powerful as the OS 46Fx. I'm using the Macs sportpipe which also works fine and is lighter than the stock muffler. The OMP Edge is still THE best Edge 540 profile out there and a great bargain for the price. You can build it, cover it, and outfit this plane for under $100 dollars.

We've got 2 of these, one with a Saito .72(14 x 4w prop) and the other with a .46FX(12.25 x 3.75 prop) and both fly great.

Oh and in case you guys didn't know, Mike is the designer of this plane! Great job on this one Mike, the best $100 I ever spent in this hobby to date.
