Hi guys,
I am new to 3D .
Currently i am using a fun fly aircraft (like sig fazer) to practice it.
It weighs about 2400 grams (including everyting)
Powered by an O.s 40 FX with 11 X 5 prop.
I want to ask that if the engine is all right or should i go for a 46 ?
Secondly what is the ideal propellor for doing 3D with such conditions?
thirdly what about the balance ? is it necessary to make the tail heavy ... currently my plane is a bit nose heavy ...but it does unlimited vertical and good hovering to some extent.
i was thinking to shift the servos back to get a 10 - 15 degree tail heavy plane.
Please give me your recomendation.
regards,
UBY.

If you have space, move the battery pack back, but not too much.

I have a Sig fazer, it weighs a little less the yours and I am running a os46fx with a 12x4 apc prop. The cg is set a seven inches from the trailing edge at the wing root. (against the fuselage) which makes it fairly tail heavy. I would reccomed using a 46 or maybe a 50 depending on the weight of the motor you choose. You want to keep it light!!!! As a 3d plane the fazer does not excel, it does not harrier or do elevators due to really bad wing rock. However it does hover easily and spins quite well too. Add flaperons for really tight loops and waterfalls!!! Good fun to fly

thanks man ..... you just told me what i wanted to know.
I know it can only hover ........ and not do the good stuff ...
I was thinking to buy A true 3D plane ......
Is the MINI Flip 3d alright ? ( the 49 inch wing span version)
will it do everything that 3D demands ? will it be like the orignal big flip 3d ?
I'll be very thankful if someone gives me the details.
Thanks,

There are tons of 3D planes out there. Im not too sure of the Mini Flip but Ive seen stuff like Cougar 2000's 3D and they do it fine on 40's and stuff.

buy a Hanger 9. Funtana, chuck one of those cheap saito 72's
in it with a 14x4 prop, some middle of the range 5KG at least servos, some better push rods and go fly. Then you WILL be a happy bunny!
