I have scanned alot of posts about this moder, and it seems alot of guys are using 0% Nitro....this motor dont make more power with 15% or even 30%??..usually 10% runs better that 0%...not true here??
Also, whats the best prop range??..I have a 20x8 Pro Zinger, but want something not wood,lol...APC?? Bolly??..whatchoo think??
It is on a Midwest Extra 300 SX..dunno the weight..I wnt to learn 3D and want good hovering ability...

for prop, go with a Bambula 20x8. If you want to do 3D, then you want a wood prop that can spool quickly and give you a fast throttle response. I was running 10% nitro in my 2.10, and it ran great. I wouldnt go over that, though, becuase it can damage the engine i believe.

I use Methanol in my racecar, and use alot of it, so an FAI blend would be easy,lol...(I use about 25 gallons a week)..cheaper too...maybe 5 bux a gallon depending on oil price...

If you want to 3D with this engine, I would recommend getting the cline regulator for better reliability in stalled, high aoa maneuvers. Mine quit while pulling into a hover. With the cline, it wouldn't have happened. Great engine though. Lots of power. I use 0% nitro. I use a zinger pro 20X8, but I've heard the menz is better.

It is a feed on demand system. With the cline system your tank and lines are pressurized so that there is a constant
supply of fuel to the controller. The controller then passes fuel to the carburetor based on demand. Without the cline
system, you are relying on mostly muffler pressure to supply fuel when the plane is vertical, which sometimes is not
enough with giant glow engines...especially when performing hovers at 1/4 to 1/3 throttle. Also, before I had the
cline system, I found myself always tweeking the high end with changes in temperature.
Go to http://www.billsroom.com/pcfs/ and click on the PCFS link. The regulator is $60.00 which is a small price to pay
when you consider how much it would cost to replace a plane if it dies in a hover.
There is a lot of information on RC universe regarding the Cline system. Do a Cline regulator search and you will see
more information on this device than you can digest.

I would run a 20x10 the moki has a lot of torque and is better suited to run at lower rpms. I don't think the 20x8 would take advantage of the torque curve of the big moki. You may also want to try a 22x8 prop. Right now I do not have the moki in my 3d plane but I can tell you that with about 1 gallon of fuel through mine and running it pretty rich it's turning an APC 18x14 prop at about 7200 rpm. I use power master 5% fuel which is the most moki recommends, it will be hard to hold a constant needle setting a void the warranty with higer nitro's, there simply no need.
