Well I have flown my Sukhoi a lot. I flew it so much on Sunday that the covering started to come off in flight. It was just the red covering on the front of the left wing that was starting to peel off.
I was wondering what is the best way to get it into a good flatspin. It will do a pretty good blender. But I can not get it into a flat spin. After a couple of more flights we are taking the spring crank out out of the gt80 and drill holes in the mufflers. Right now it is pulling out of a hover. I believe this motor is going to be good for the job. I have not had one screw to vibrate out. The gt80 to me sounds smoother than any other engines.

I have the GT-80 on my sukhoi, and I am pretty happy with it. Compared to one of my buddies with a BME 102, Iam disgusted with mine. Mine vibrates alot more and doesnt have near the power. Im saving my money to get a DA-100, and after that Ill be lookin at the new Hangar 9 EDGE that will be coming out later this year. Anyways, i drilled the mufflers out on mine and I couldnt believe the difference it made. About 600 RPM on a pro zinger 24x10. I cant get mine into a good flatspin either. I think JohnVH has the best sukhoi anywhere. His will harrier with the best of them and I cant get a harrier out of mine if I wanted to. I have my CG about 2" back from the wing tube. If you are reading this JohnVH, help us both

Hi guys,
If your CG is not back far enough, or you dont have enough elevator throw it wont flat spin good. I took off the 1" servo arms that the hardware kit comes with for the elevators and put 1.25" arms on, made a difference. Mine does nice upright and inverted flat spins.
Harriers are something you have to learn, be on the ailerons to keep the wings level and drive it around with the rudder and throttle. It takes practice just like everything else.
The GT80 will never have the power a zdz80 or DA100 has, dont kid yourself on that one..
I pulled my zdz80 out and put my DA100 in the sukhoi. POWER, love it, hardly could tell any difference in the way it flies, but it has tons O power. perfect match, only problem with sukhoi is 28" prop does not clear ground very well. Going to put on a NX27x10 to try to help it, but probably going to find a 3 blade as It wont hurt me to loose some thrust with the 3 blader. Plus will look scale.
Lastly, my cg is 2" behind the wing tube as well.
Good luck! If you have any questions ask.
