Cool !
This is exactly what I have been looking for.
A Seduction in ARF form.
Does it look as good as the Seduction?
Stop teasing, I need pics.
Do they need someone else to test a pre-production Matrix 3D?
I would love to do it.

Wow, that is nice. My only questions are about the tail. Is the rudder linkage angled up that high to clear the elevator halves? Is it a single servo only or two servos for the elevator?
Whats the street price going to be?
ABS or fiberglass for the cowl/wheel pants? Is the turtledeck abs or balsa (I would assume balsa given the weight of 4.8 lbs.)Whats the empty weight minus engine and radio?
Whats the street price going to be???
Is that going to be the color scheme for the ARF (if so, it looks cool, I like it). What's the wing area?
Steve
PS: Post more pics, I may have to hold off until August to get a new plane.......

Wayne,
That thing looks like it would be a great AA or Freestyle plane, doesnt it. Looks alot better, and named alot better than the Great Planes "U Can Do 3D" (hehe, sorry, that one was just too hard to pass up). I wonder if my Enya 80 Four stroke would fit in the nose without too much hassle?
I'd settle for 5lbs with that motor.

You guys didn't read my post very well! The ailerons will be increaed in chord by 3/4" on the production version. Cowl and pants are fiberglass, turtledeck is built up balsa. Rudder servo is mounted to allow for max elevator deflection. 1 servo for elevator running pull-pull to a bellcrank for equal travel, even with extreme throws. The scheme in the picture is the same one on the ARF. It will also be available with the red replaced with blue. Any more questions? I wasn't able to get a street price from Bubba, but I'd guess $200-250. *****2 METER version to follow in a few months!!!!!!!**********

I agree. This looks like a copy, but then so do all of the other crossover 3D/pattern machines. All of the current pattern planes and for that matter all of the current funfly planes look basically alike to me too. I guess it's a form following function thing.
If you want originality in this hobby generally you need to scratch build something. Say, a 3D capable version of a Hall Bulldog would be original! I hafta might try that.

Why not call it a Seduction then? I'm guessing there must be a great relationship between Lanier and OK fo rthis to happen, so if the quality is good why not call a spade a spade? I was wondering if the name might conflict with a Matrix I saw at Romilly, a 2m design, or was that the 2m prototype?

I could care less. I'm just stoked to be able to purchase such a high performance, high quality ARF airplane for what I'm sure will be a very reasonable price. All the time I have to build kits goes to my 40% competition aircraft. Hopefully the supply of these aircraft will help the AA movement to grow here in the US.

Looks very very cool but....The name MATRIX is already being used for a 2 meter plane. They were used at the world champs and 3d versions of the MATRIX are being built. I think a new name is needed, I'm sure these named are not copyrighted or anything but they look quite similar, especially a 2m version.... A new version the Euro-MATRIX has just been released.. All these models look similar, after the znline madness was released many exact replicas of many different sizes were released soon after. I think original designs that fly well and are made to an excellent quality is what will make an ARF manufacterer stand out in the future and not copies of existing designs.. Theres now an actual seduction (Wildside) ARF so I doubt if there will be a difference in flight performance in the two. The market for the AA style funfly is just in the beginnings and Im sure there will be some awesome new arf's in the future..
And it needs HUUUUUUUUUGE ailerons, look at the majestic!!

Yeah, what does Frazer make of the name?
miderror:
Strange plane to show as an example, I mean was that an 'OK' sticker on it?
Are these Matrix (US version) made in China, Tiawan, Vietnam etc or are they from the US? Anybody know which factory?
I agree, I have to say, the Matric looks great and if the quality is good its going to be a winner. Hope they filter into Europe!

h82crash,
There where may others that they where doing the 3D mods to,
not all OK models.
I think they picked the best one to develop from don't you?
Love the finished look of the Seduction and now thanks to
Bubba we don't have to build. It all good.
