From: Gainesville, FL,
I am beginning to see a bit more about the Venus out there. How does this plane compare to the GP Tracer? I have really enjoyed my tracer. A friend who likes the way my plane flies wants to get one, but he is not the building type? Would the Venus act the same as a well built, well balanced Tracer? As for any questions about power...the 46 FX will likely be the choice for the new plane, same as the Tracer has.

If you like your tracer, and your friend is not a builder, I would recommend the GP Ultra Sport 40 ARF. Although I usually steer people away from BARF's, the Ultra Sport is by far the best 40 size plane I have ever flown, and it is no longer available in kit form. GP claimes that the Tracer is the replacement for the US40, but I have flown two of them, and I don't think it even comes close.

This Venus has a O.S. .61 with at 12x8 and flies great. This plane is very light and will have not problem with a .46. It flies very true and lands slow and easy!
Even the patttern guys at my field have been impressed with it.
