Default Pilot .10 size kits

Hello

I have seen Pilot .10 size kits but was wondering do they have any 3D performance?

Thanks!

They do look nice dont they. I fancy one myself. I'd imagine they will be too small/heavy to be good for 3D though.

Yep they are, Sussex are quite expensive. I was thinking an OS 30 four stroke or maybe a SC ar Enya if they some in that size.

They are WAY too big engines for that plane. OS 15 LA would be plenty, OS 15 CV-A if you want bonkers power.

I would however go electric if I was going to do it.

Sussex model centre in the UK is so far the only place I know of that sells these. But they are quite pricy considering they are only .10 size. I'm still not sure if they will 3D, mebbe with a Saito 100

Heres Sussex's website, I had a look around but could not find the kits, they definately supply them though , I've seen them in a magazine.

i did a test flight on a pilot extra today for someone.

it had a magnum ap 15 in it.

it had good vertical, but theres no way it would slow down enough for 3d, has a nasty stall.

lots of coupling on the rudder which doesnt have much authority, the ailerons are tiny.

it looks nice, flies nice, but its no 3d model.

a big NO!!!!!
