don't know on setup yet but i'll be fklying my 32% ulti tomorrow.
I have the ZDZ 80RV too, I expect it will hover at about 1/3 throttle if im lucky, weight is roughly 23lb.

i am putting the finishing touches on mine its a bob godfrey stick build with 70.5WS and 77.75 lenght running a bme 100. i have the following on all my 3d planes
elevator 10/40 low and high rates
ailerons 20/25
rudder 25/40
those will always get you in the ball park for 3d i use the degree meter from central hobbies to set all those throws. The bigger birds will fly with a very aft cg. i am about level on my cg range for the maiden this week; however, i do have the 3d rates ready....

flew mine, what a treat is is!
It's extremely sensitive on ele and ail. I have a bit more expo on the rudder so that isn't bad at all.
I'll have some video online later, or better video tomorrow.
Hover is just above 1/4 throttle, as you expect, vertical performance is awesome even at 3/4 throttle.
Lovely!

Welsh3d she looks sweet + u r doing your thing.
I did my maiden today no one was at the field i got the usually on the ground pic..
my camera doesn't have a great zoom even it someone would have been there u feel me....
my ailerons are super fast on high rates i have 20/25 on my ailerons rates, 10/40 on the elevator. i am almost finished on my knife edge mixes. I think i am aft on the CG as i have a bit of down elevator which is causing my uplines to pull toward the wheels.

Mine is great in lines but has a terrible tendancy to roll out of knife edge... hopefully i'll get used to it and not have to use a mix.

I will add some down thrust on mind b-4 the next outing, that should then call for up elevator which in turn should clean up the up lines seeing how they are pulling toward the wheel right now. Plus with the down elevator I am carrying its making the plane decend on the very slow approaches.

great. mine has 2 degrees right thrust thats all.
Amazing how these petrols need so little sidethrust, yet a large glow in a patternship can have up to 9 degrees! Strange!
