Get the one that has the biggest diameter and the smallest pitch (3 or 4)

Hi Wep-orion!

I'm using a APC 14x4 W on my 77 mvvs and a KS-silence-muffler.
The engine turns thr prop at 11200 peak and 10800-11000 rpms in flight .
The thrust is over 4,7 Kg.
I use this combination on my Diablotin and it works great!

The .60 runs perfectly with a 16x6 prop, so the .77 will have little work with a 15x4, and have spare to boot.
The APC wide, has good hovering potential, but is very heavy, and consequenly slow to respond to throttle.
A wood prop would be best. Eventually carved from a larger one. The Zinger would be my favorite to bash.
In every large prop, there lurks that smaller, prefect one.

Hi Pe!

My 77 mvvs turns the APC 15x4 W at 9400 rpms peak!Thats to much load , but the APC 14x4 W is a good prop for 3D. It accelerates fast enough , with the KS-silencer. It's a very good combo.

That 9400 may well be right in the ball park for this engine. It takes some getting used to though. We fly the .60 between 9200 and 9500 static.
Give it a try, and do not mistake noise for thrust.

Hi Pereivers !

How reliable is the programm ThrustHP 2.0d?When i let it work with my numbers 14x5 APC @ 11000 rpms , it schows me 1.826 HP. Can it realy be?
What is the right standard prop for APC 14x4 W? Is it the 14x5 or 14x5.5?
With 14x5.5 the programm schows me 2.009 HP.

I've only run my Engine with APC 15x4 W on the ground and with the headerlength for the APC 14x4 W,so i think the rpms will increase when i set the headerlenght to the right length.I'll give the 15x4 W a try during flight, when i get my new fuselarge.
