Default Smaragd conversion???

I am building my smaragd at the moment and was wondering if there's any difference between the Smaragd and the freestyle version and if I can build the freestyle version from my kit.

Most likely, the freestyle version has a reinforced wing, different wing taper and span, and a different stab. While you can simply cut oversized surfaces onto any wing and stab, the reinforcement is the most important part of the whole thing. Trying to do walls and blenders with an F3A airplane can spell doom very quickly. This is from comparing the differences between the Caprise/Majestic or Synergy/Synergy140 3D and the Smaragd/Smaragd FS is along the same construction except that the Smaragd is a two piece wing. Get with PL and see what they think about making it dual purpose with another set of wings and stabs.

Mark

PS: Smaragd is pronounced as it looks. One sounds out both the G and D. Just pretend you are sitting on the toilet with bad stomach cramps and the word come out perfectly.

smareg is more how it sounds,

will get on to someone about the different wings, won't be too much of a problem as I need to cover the wings anyway
