I was thinking about the DA 100, someone told me the ZDZ 80 was not going to be enough or the Zenoah 82. Is the DA 100 good for everything?

Depends on what you call enough? I had the zdz 80 in mine and it would pull out of a hover pretty good. vertical was unlimited. Im sure it would pull out a bit better with a 100 but at what cost? at least another pound of weight and twice the price.

I have flown one on a zdz80, and have seen a couple other go, one with a 3w106, and another with a DA100. The DA100 is the perfect engine, the zdz80 is good power, but I like a faster vertical.. The 106 one was fine too, but owner has had engine issues, and all in all performance was the same as the da.

John, do you know what the weights were on the planes with a DA?
Does anyone know what the dimensions for the wingtube are?
Any issues balancing with two rudder servos in the tail?
Did the cowling have to be cut for the spark plugs on a DA?
Thanks.
