Default Top Cap ARF,what engine?

I just bought a Top Cap from a friend and would like some suggestions on an engine from people who have actually owned them.It was flying with an OS 46FX and did fine, but would hover at almost full throttle, with no pull out power.I want an engine that will give me Pull out authority without compromising weight.I want to be reasonable, not like a Saito 100 or something rediculous like that.I am thinking of an OS or Saito 70-724-stroke Maybe an OS 50 2-stroke.I am not sure how much more power it has than the 46.BTW,we tried all the pouplar props on the 46 and it just didn't get it.Thanks,
Mike

Thats an easy question......Saito .72 or YS .63

No comparison to anything else out there for these planes.

I can tell you that the OS .50SX is quite a bit more powerful than the .46, and is about 1/2oz heavier.

The YS 63! Put your tank where you like, tons of power, light enough, and runs like a kitty!

Default Engine choice

Have one with OS 91/4stroke. Way too much power with the right fuel which I used this last Sunday. Big time flutter in the rudder. Landed with no damage. Moving the engine to another plane. Bill

Seriously LV2RCAV8,

As you can see most of us love our profiles with the Saito .72's. I flewa Morris Knife with a YS .63 and it was equally as good.

Default Top Cap ARF,what engine?

Hello everyone. I'm stratching a top cap right now and I cant wait for it to be done.

I had the Su-Do-Khoi 40 sized and I put a Magnum 91 4 stroke on it. I had a zinger 14x4 prop, running with cool power 15%. I never experienced flutter and I could hover at a little less that 1/4 throttle. Plenty of power to climb out, I'm hopeing the Top Cap will be the same way. It's so much fun.

I have a pic but it says its too big, how do i chop it and make it smaller?

but you're not going to put it on the topcap right? What a waste. The 72 provides incredible performance.
