Hi all,
Hope my post is in the right place.. Anyway I'm fairly new to RCing Started
late Feb.. My club trainer has given me a 40 Dazzler, which he has not
been using, I guess it has also crashed too, But all seems to be true and
straight.. I have flown this plane about 20 times so far and I think it flys OK
And when flying away from me it seem to track straight, It does loops straight
and comes out where I started, this goes for inverted also.. But...
even though I know it has no where near the power/weight ratio to do
hovers..( T.H. .40 engine) I keep working on them.. But I have noticed
while starting the vert. the plane leans to the left making me keep some
right rudder. Also at the top, or just before the stall the plane tends to just
fall out instead of making the Hammer head is it?? But while doing it towards
the left it does it just great??? Any tips???
As I said, while flying away from me the plane looks to be tracking straight..
As my trainer has told me, the engine already has about 5/16 of a inch Rt
off-set.. And on the last flight, I added a washer between the mount and
firewall for even more of an off-set.. But I got the same results.. Thanks
for any help/tips

My Dazzler, built from a kit, started with an OS 46FX, weighs 5 lbs. Hover experience similar to yours with exciting recoveries. Couldn't pull up unless vertical. Put in bigger engine, OS 50SX. Better, but still fell off easily and couldn't pull up unless vertical.
Built a Sledge with Saito 72. This is a hovering machine. Pulls up like a rocket from any position.
Fired up the Dazzler a few weeks ago. Gess wat. The Dazzler now hovers at low rates! Helps to practice with a plane that hovers easily.
