Anyone know of a UK stockist for APC 15 X 4W props? It seems most of the stores, including Inwoods, only carry the standard sizes.

Island hobbies have it at cheaper rates than probuild, cos VAT is not included in the prices. I have ordered a fair few props(14x5N and 16x4W to name a few) from them already by post, and postage has been very prompt and reliable also. They have got quite an extensive range of props to. On www.flycapiche.co.uk there is an excellent propeller list under the how to order section, with prices.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Not going to Sandown, Just Engines do not list the 3D sizes. I think I will order direct from APC. The 15 x 4W is $12.95 which by my reckoning is £7.60 so ordering a couple of props should more than compensate for the shipping costs

you can also go on my site - www.braeckman.de - it's in german - all (ALL) APC props are on stock - the prices are in Euro - only drawback : shipping costs (4.00 Euro for one prop as a letter not insured or 17.00 Euro for any quantity insured)

Shipping from APC in US costs $22 [:'(]. A lot to pay for one prop. Then there is the VAT and duty payable on it. [:'(]

PS I second Luke 3D. Island Hobbies are reasonable in price and have a good range.

Having lived in Europe and with my wife being European, I know how the prices & shipping can get ridiculous....unless you have a friend over here to mail it to you. Props are light and should cost nothing to mail. I wouldn't worry about customs on a batch of 10 props. The value would could be listed honestly for around $35.

I've had good luck shipping electronics to friends in Denmark and Germany. I think insured packages were under $30 postage and both made the trip in under 9 days. These both were insured for around $500. If you correspond with anyone over here maybe they would help you out, but Alvin's prices seem very reasonable as compared to here.

I have placed an order for 3 props with APC who say they will email the shipping cost. The default shipping was $30 on the shopping cart!! If they email me with an extortionate cost I will cancel the order, in which case I will be contacting Alvin. I have ordered other items from the states, which were heavier than props, and usually only have to pay 5 or 6 dollars!

I got a 14x4 APC from Just engines in the UK recently. They always seem to carry plenty.
