Default Exponantial settings, need help!

Hello everyone,
I just got a new Futaba 6EXA radio, which I just put in my Magic Extra.
I have a question about exponential settings. This radio seems very complicated to me and I need some help.
I understand what exponential settings are, but I do not know how to set them up. I assume you make it softer at the beggining, but by what precent? The manual says it can go from -100 to +100. Where should I set them and do I set them on dual rates as well.

I will go fly tomorrow and would greatly appreciate any help.

Thank you!!!

To make it less sensitive around center use a negative number. More negative, the less sensitive it will be around center.

Find the level you like. Most people seem to go for -30% to -40% to start with. I have come to use higher than that, especially on ailerons.

Thanks guys.
I will set it to 30% and go from there.

Also, do I set it for elevator as well or just the alerons?

Try 20% on the rudder,.I only use expo on elev. on high rates at about 30 to 40%, none on low rates. Dennis

Since it sounds like you are putting it in an existing plane, start with 0% expo then add to your liking.

I have the same Radio You will not be able to set the rudder Expo . There is no rudder switch I wish there was. I have my ELE & AIL set up in my 3-D planes at -40% Expo.

I just realized that the 6E doesn't have expo on the rudder.
