Hello all,
I am designing a pattern plane just to see if I can do it. It will have a 70" fuselage length and a 66" wingspan. I have the fuselage, fin and rudder designed how I want them, and I am now working on the wing and horizontal stab. I have an idea of how I want my wing to be, but I am clueless on the stab. I have a Hydeout, and it looks like the stab and elevator area is about 25% of that of the wing. Am I correct in my thinking of this? Also, for a plane of this size, what stabilizor span should I be looking at? Is the stab like the wing and the shorter the span, the better is snaps? Thanks for all of the input.
