Default prop clearance

Running a 20x10 on my smaragd freestyle, and I only have about an inch of ground clearance, can I go to a three blade prop, or will this cause problems with performance, also what 3 blade prop would you reccommend

more blades the less efficient. CL speed planes use a 1 blade prop with a counterbalance as their so efficient. Can you get another UC for it? that would be better

i suppose if you stp the prop before touchdown and make sure prop is horizontal so if the UC bends a bit it wont damage the prop.

can i ask how much you spent on motor/ESC/cells andd what motor/ESC/cells your using? is it still as expenceive as it was a year ago whan dave did his C140

My trainer isn't a high speed plane, but I replaced the 3 blade prop with a 11x7. I have less than 2" clearance. I ease on the throttle and hold fulll up elevator like a tail dragger until the nose wheel gets very light and wants to rise up before easing back on the stick. Landings are no problem if I remember to be more careful with the attitude on touchdown. I kind of like flying it this was as it makes me remember technique and is good practice.

Is that efficient for speed, or thrust or both, might have to go the ugly way and use a folder

Get a different (taller) landing gear and/or bigger wheels

Depends on what you want to do. What type of plane, what size engine, type of flying?
