Now this is one club that I would like to join. Theres a handfull of 3Ws at the field, a couple ZDZs, also some 150 twins, not sure of the make, but with the reputation and the multitude of satisfied customers, DA appears to be doing something right. This winters build will have a gasser on the bench, I just hope it will be a DA. Joe

Where do you guys store your engines/planes during the winter? Do you guys have heated garages or store them in the house...i would imagine that the gas engine would stink up a house or apartment if stored in there. I'd love to get into gas but space is an issue.

Hey Goekeli - get a heat gun out would ya! Man that is some wrinkled covering!!!!!
Southern Touch - The fuel dot is a DA fuel dot, you can clearly see the scrolly DA logo ... DA dots are the best ones made. The 3W fuel dots totally suck.
I have several DA and 3W engines. They both are excellent and I have had no issues with either.
Most of the 3W stories you hear revolve around the crappy old ignition (which was a total POS and misfires often broke cranks and prop hubs) but the newer engines / ignition are rock solid. My 106QQ has significantly more power, better throttle response and the midrange is the best in the business. I love the DA too though.
A lot of people got burned by 3W, so I don't blame them for jumping on "DA wagon"
I equip a lot of planes, they are both good engines as far as I am concerned.
"DA service" is second to none.
