Hello guys, the Staudacher is finished and now loaded in the trailer. We leave in the morning for the NATS. I will fly the Staudacher after the TOC 2002. I plan to have video of the first flight ,if all goes well I will be able to share this with everyone.

Sincerely Bob Sawyer

Hi Bob,

Best of luck with the test flight and remember not to let anyone badger you into doing the first flight unless you are ready to go!!!!!

Best of luck

Are you sure you mean the TOC or are you talking about the IMAC or Pattern Nationals?

Hello guys, I went back and read my last reply and your right !!! it sounds confusing, so yes I was going to the NATS, and I also have been invited to the TOC this year. The reason I say that I was going to the NATS; is yesterday morning we left San Antonio at 4:AM as we drove just past Waco on I-35 we hit a hole in the interstate approximantly 24"dia.x 8" deep, this launched the trailer tires in the air from what looked like 7 to 10 inches, after I finally got stopped and checked inside the trailer the airplane had broken the tie downs and damaged both maingear and tailgear. So we turned around and headed for home. I`m happy to say that there was not to much damage and the repairs are under way.

That plane is absolutely incredible..... I just got back from the TOC and took lots of pictures. I will post some when I download them from my camera.

The owner says it weighs 425lbs and will fly in about two weeks at an abondoned military strip near San Antonio.

I can't wait to see the flight footage!
