Default Fiber Optic Kill Switch ????

[X(]Hello All: Just wondering how reliable / safe for extreme 3D, etc... the F/O Kill Switches are ?? We got one for our new 40 % 330 LX but have not installed it yet - as we have herd that they can sometimes just shut off ?? As so many others - we have way to much time and $$$$ invested in this baby to loose it due to a defective kill switch - so as of now, we are just using the regular heavy duty JR switch. Any good info will sure be appreciated. Thanks so much. Keep havin FUN !! Rod

Rod and Chris,

I am using one in my 35% RadioCraft with ZERO issues. The older versions had some problems but if its a newer unit you'll be fine.
Soft mount it over some foam.

I use mine on Aux 4 (rotary knob) and leave it activated all the time. I then just use my Ign switch as normal. I will occasionally shut the motor down that way just to check it.
Well over 200 flights with it and no problems.

Its a smart thing that have IMO.

I've got over 600 flights on F/O kill switches in 33%+ aircraft and have never had one fail. I have had them save the airframe by allowing me to shut down the motor after losing a throttle servo or having a firewall start to pull loose.
