Angle Of Attack with UCD 46
#1
I didn't like the stock tail wheel setup for My U-CAN-DO 46 so I bought a new one... Not sure of the brand <have to look> but sitting on the ground the plane sits nearly level with the tail only slightly dropped.. I dropped the tailwheeld as much as possible but its still a very shallow angle.. Will this affect ground handling? Takeoff?

My Feedback: (9)
It should not change it a lot. Normally prop clearance is the issue with the tail up. I like to taxi all my tail draggers with full up ELEV on high rate. This should negate any problems the new tail wheel may cause. It seems to put a little extra wieght on the tail wheel. Cross wind taxing is difficult without the ELEV input.
