hi U all..
i wanna built a giant extra to an saito 180 or a super tiger G3250 what is better? for this kind of flight (3D) ???
i need a plane to built from i dont wanna buy a kit or somthiing like this...
i got a plane of GIANT EXTRA 330L of greatplans now this wing span is 100" can i get is smaller?? if ican how many precent (%) i need to get it smaller for it to feet my engins ???what shuld be my wing span to saito 180 or super tiger G3250 ???
any body can send me to the e-mail a plane if anyone have for an extra 70" -80" iwill be greatfull..

About 80" with that saito but keep it light and it should 3D good.

An 80" extra is gonna weigh at least 13-14 pounds minimum. No way a 150 saito is gonna be a good 3-D with that. If you want 80" and true unlimited 3-D then your gonna need a 40-50cc gas engine is my guess.

Even the ARF Extras that are 74" are minimally 3-D with the saito 150. Good aerobatics but defentliy not unlimited 3-D in that size.

I have the GP 300S Gene Soucy 74" wingspan with an OS 1.60 and it's a nice plane with lots of power - but not for unlimited 3D. Big thread on it over in the ARF section. Most people wound up with a plane that weighs 13 to 13.5 pounds.

Even with a saito 1.80 I can't see it being "unlimited" 3-D but everyone has a different definition of what that is.
