I kept a record of my time on the AW 29%. Had 197 hours work on it to get to the test flight. I also spent some extra time in the landing gear area doing a little more reinforcement, and changed the engine box area slightly from the plans.

All I can say is if there are people spending 300 or more hours an an AW 29% I want to know what they are doing. I have built 8 AW Edges from the 25% to the 40% and everything in between. If I end up with 100 hours in one I've been fluffing off. There really isn't that much to do. I vaccum bag all the foam so I can bag a wing tonight and then bag another in the morning and so on and so on. If you don't bag and have a couple of benches you can sheet several things at once. By morning they are all done. The fuse takes less than 1 day to build including the gear plate mods. The 25% and the 29% have no engine box, the firewall mounts to the fuse sides. I guess my point is I don't understand how guys are getting so much time in them. Just my 2c worth

Loved flying your edge. I was so amazed at just how sweet she flew in all that wind you were flying her in and how slow she would fly with out dropping a wing. Man my sig cap flew well but the edge flyies great!!! better than tony the tiger could have Daid Great! That edge is just one sweet machine in the air. just like anything the time can vary putting one together, i took the better be safe appoarch and read something 2-5 times before i atemp that step. Now the live and learn part is that i could do the edge in about 1.5 -2 months now. I only glued one side of the wing sheeting a day so this alone acounted for 4 days to sheet the wings. If you own enough weight the wings could be sheeted in one day ( I only had 4 lowes sand bags) I think i took another 4-5 days to build the rudder, elevator, and elevators halfs. Doing it this way i did not have any Oh man i should have completed it this way.
