Hi!
I'm in the market for a kit to build. I'd like a pattern plane, more specifically one that will do 3D. I saw the Great Planes Extra 300S 60 Sized (I'd put a 1.20 Four Stroke in it), but it didn't look like it would do 3D. Anyone know if an Extra will 3D? If not, I'd really like to build an Edge 540, anyone know of a 60 sized kit?
Thanks!
Reid

An Extra will 3D just fine. I'm not sure about the GP Extra, but the Extra in general is just as good as any other. AW kits a 25% Edge you may want to look at. www.aero-works.net

The GP might stock...but you could modify it to do it well....Cody on here I think won an IMAC freestyle with one...
Oh...and I'm sure this yellow jacket guy just flies trainers....

I have the Kangke Extra 300-60 with a 120 os surpass {actually now it has a magnum 91 the surpass was moved to my cap 232} it had unlimited vertical, outstanding roll rate and could 3-D with any other 60 inch plane on the market.

I have a GP Extra 300S .60 and it doesn't 3D very well mainly because it's a little heavy at 8lbs 3oz. I started with a GMS76 which would barely hover it. Then I moved to an OS91 FS which was little improvement over the GMS76. Now I am swapping that engine for a Webra 120 to see how it will perform. Hopefully I'll get to fly it this weekend with the Webra to see how that improves it. One thing it really needs for 3D is a much larger tail section.
I'd say if your looking to do some serious 3D this plane isn't the best one for it... Just my opinion...
