All right Andrew,
I have seen you guys flying the big ones all year. I have put my 30% Ultimate on the back burner for the time being and just picked up a 38% Laser 200, already built ready for gear and motor. Servos will be 8411's or 8611's all around, dual 2750mAh 5 cells, and a DA-100 for power. It should be ready for Spring of '05. The whole plane, with motor and exhaust should come in between 24 and 25 lbs.
I'm going to need to give Joe a call on a tailwheel, I might have to let him see the mounting slot to make sure it will fit, before he makes me one.
That's the plan for this winter, not including the 4 or 5 foamies I have going.
Ken

Man doug,
You dont sound to busy at all. I wish I could get the time to build all of that. I know what you mean by foamys by the truck load. I right now down in the basement I have a Jumping Jack and Quiet storm getting ready to fly the 2 tomorrow. I have flown the JJ but I heard that the quiet storm is even better. Only time will tell.

Howdy Fellas!
Andrew: Got to see you fly at the TAS...nice! That was my first super-sized fly-in to watch as a spectator. I competed a little when I was in high school, but took a break while in college. Now, my husband and I are settled and jumping back into OUR hobby together!!!
My winter projects include:
Wild Hare Extra - 28% (DA-50)
Raptor 50SE
T-Rex 450X
YAK 54 Foamie
Tensor 4D
In addition to these projects I'm flying a Pacific Aeorworks Edge 540T with a Y.S. .63, a Raptor .30, and I have a cute little profile .40-sized Ultimate biplane.
*Fast, Furious, and FEMALE!

All those projects sound like fun. I have thought about getting a raptor 50se for a nice heli. I have a freya right now but it is just so much money sitting there that I dont want to do anything to stupid with it and have it go in. I just put my Shogun together and that is a blast. i think the Trex will be awesome with the belt drive. I am getting ready to convert mine over to a belt drive set up.
You will love the Tensor. It is a totally different feel then what you will probably be used to. It takes a flight or 2 to get used to it because anything you do needs no rudder.
Have some fun building these planes.

Hey Andrew hows it going?
I will have a lot of 3Dfoamys in the works, I already finished my Extremeflight Ysk 55SP-E and it flies awesome and now I am thinking I want to try my hand at a micro heli for the cold windy days inside. I looked at the Shogun but the Trex 450X is worlds better with the new belt drive system they have. So I plan on getting one of those together, do you know if you can use an airplane transmitter with it? Like the Futaba 9CAP PCM?

Hey Andrew - Splendor ... OK, I just got a picture of it in my mind. Nice plane. I'm still undecided. Leaning toward the Brio IF I can get one! Also got a Monte foamie in the works and a foamie Katana that a guy in the club builds. Those things are a BLAST! We got set up at a local golf dome. Good times man, good times.

BZ,
Must be nice, I think that since I have become used to this that if I were to be able to fly year round I might get burnt out as you guys have no building season which is fun for me. Go fly and get some pictures so us cold ones can dream about flying.
