I have a Sig Cap that recently survived a run-in with a wooden pole on a high speed fly by. The problem is that in its current state it is permanently disabled with only 1 and 1/2 wings. I do not wish to buy replacement wings this year nor repair what’s left of the half wing. I "luckily" have 2 perfect wings from a demised 1.20 3D freedom which is basically a giant Sig Somthin' Extra. The wings weigh the same as the Sig wings did, and are a bit larger. Anyone care to guess what kind of flight characteristics this 1/2Cap 1/2Sig SE plane would have. It would be very easy to make this a low wing plane like the cap is, but would it benefit me to change it into a mid wing like the Sig SE?
I'm leaning towards low wing because I change it back into a real Cap when I do eventually buy a wing kit for it. In other words if I make a mid-wing I have to make some modifications to the Fuse where as a low-wing I don't need to modify the Fuse.
